More Hun Concepts

This is another image I shot to Paul for the upcoming Hun story. This is certainly not final, as Paul has this ridiculously cool ability to take whatever crap I scribble out and make it into something that oozes all kinds of amazing.

When I wrote Hun's reappearance, I wrote it fairly straightforward. He's big and has lots of tats. I didn't go into any detail with them really. I had a vague idea of what would be symbolically cool to have on his body, but nothing set in stone, and nothing definite in terms of visuals. Paul asked me what ideas I had for the tattoos and I roughed this out. As I said, it's NOT what is going to be in the final product (and knowing Paul, it's going to be pretty far from it visually, although the core IDEA I want to get across will probably still be there).

Take a gander:

-->> Damm .. he's all kinda right.

DAMM ..

I do wish kind of .. the 3 - toed sign of the Foot was hidden , imbeaded within' the tribal tats on his back. .

To not necessarily to show connection to the Foot but to pay homage to the initial design. Meaning he originally had on his upper right arm the Foot Symbol currently used in the past 6 + seasons of the toon.

That's just me.. other than that .. i'm also amazed that he can get a Tattoo made on the upper portion of the back of his trousers.

i'm absolutely obsessed with that Dragon symbol and the designer should be commended. It's been used over and over brilliantly and it's simplicity is amazing.

Whenever the f8ck i get some money i am gonna get that added to my small tattoo collection along with the NES TMNT 1 video game version of the foot Symbol.
Rose already showed me a kid who already got one. I was so jealous.
**I even try to utilize both the old-school Foot symbol and the newer dragon one on my current design of Tokka.

The Old-school Foot symbol is on his belt and the Dragon one is the graphic on his stocking cap.

It would appear the Dragon symbol was taken in part by looking at the upper portion of Shredder's helmet, just above the visor. Shredder's initial design is relatively based on old Samurai armour.. so kinda makes sense anyway.

I think i'm beginning to care about Hun even more that his story is being fully developed beyond the Toon.

God he's so totally turned me into Purple Dragon Chubby Chaser.

O lord.

I need to find out what the current official Foot symbol is these days. Tales V2 #6 uses the same one as the new show, but V1 #1 uses the classic foot visual, as I do have very specific plans for that particular sign...

They're also designer pants. That he only wears while shirtless.

While I dig the Hun in the show, and there will be some cross-over in terms of the way they act and the things they do, I'm trying to take Mason into much darker territory. If you've read Broken City, then you'll know where I want to go when I say I want Hun to be like the next step up from Killer Croc in that story.

Hey Tok, for the record -- the official symbol of the Foot Clan in the comics is the foot logo, not the dragon claw.

-->> ..so that would make the NES version based actually on the very first and original Foot logo !!

Not the Foot in a circle !!
