Monsterism #57

Monster: The Unseen
Movie: The Room

I miss film making. Getting out there with an enthusiastic crew and making something purely for the fun of it. This was from my first film, The Room. You can watch it on Youtube down on the right hand side of this blog.

Saw this a few days ago and thought it was amazing! The atmosphere, the setting, the sounds and effects, just freakin' fantastic! I wanna see more!

Oh, btw, I love the little openings you have of your movies with the cartoon opening his mind and that thing popping out, haha! I'm guessing the little figure is Mongo? :D

Hey Greg! Sorry I missed this one earlier! Thanks for the kind words mate! I had a couple of ideas on expanding it, but I need to get the band back together so to speak! I couldn't make a follow up to Room without Bill Irving involved.

You are correct too sir! That is indeed Mongo. Back when I was still working on films of my own, each animation would have something relevant to the film pop out of his head. Here it's a scary monster for obvious reasons... :)

Trist, have you kept up with film-making at all?

Not really, unfortunately. I would like to get back into it. I've had some ideas, but it's a matter of finding time that I rarely have these days and a motivated crew that has the same time. I've always wanted to follow this up though.
