Dude!! I command you to write him into TMNT now!!! It's not every day you get to see a kick ass fellow Haitian in a book! Despite the voodoo stereotype, haha! Heck! I'll help you write a story for him!!!
Hey Greg! Yeah, sorry about the stereotype, but he's a villain and I wanted to give him a real voodoo background! Trust me too, I don't think he'll play out quite like anyone expects... if he plays out that is!!It was the Baron Samedi look that came first, which then drew me to Haiti (which is where the Samedi lore originates -- correct me if I'm wrong though!), which also drew me to Voodoo/Vodou/Vodun/Hoodoo, and some of the concoctions supposedly used in certain rituals led me to a drug/black magic connection. Trust me, come March, his presence will be felt ;)
Well, I most definitely can't wait! I actually have a Christian family background, so my mom would freak that I'm actually interested in voodoo stuff, haha! Although I don't plan on practicing, but back in high school I discovered a book on different religions in the world, and the stuff on Samedi and his wife, Bridgette, was so darn interesting. I started reading a lot on them and starting copying pages and actually created a Grim Reaper out of Samedi into a story I was working on. I even went to my dad since he knows tons about Haitian folk-lore and was telling me tons of stories that were all interesting. Heh, I even have a character in a mini series I'm writing who's a "reformed" Haitian voodoo priest. Once again a stereotype, but I love writing him and they interest me.But yeah, Trist! Bring it on!! 8-)
-->> ..how juvenile.. i think i love him .... >v<

Ah! I getcha! Yeah I'm all for the scratchy art, I just like getting my ideas down quickly before I lose them to something else.The Baron is a fav of mine too, so I'm glad you like it! Took me a while to get the tattoo on his face right!
